Community Based Clinical Intern
Community Care Services has Community Based Services that provide clinical, case management and mentoring services to service recipients in their homes and in the community.
Hours are flexible, supervision can be provided Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am - 6:00 pm
Requirements for clinical interns:
- Be enrolled as a second year student in a Masters Program, either in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling Psychology or Mental Health Counseling.
- Be consistent in attendance.
- Attend required training.
- Attend weekly staff meetings.
- Attend clinical supervision with on-site advisor.
- Maintain and follow agency policies.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proof of current auto insurance.
- Conduct clinical intake meetings. *
- Conduct individual and group therapy.*
- Develop treatment plans.*
- Participate in discharge planning.*
*All clinical tasks will be under the supervision of a licensed clinician for at least 2-3 sessions, or until such time as the supervisor feels the intern can conduct / complete independently.
- Interns should have an interest in – and sensitivity toward - the population that this program serves. Community Care Services requires a Criminal Offender Record Investigation (CORI) which may take 2 weeks for some programs. Other requirements include Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training, as well as tuberculosis screening at some programs. We will arrange for completion of all your requirements.
