Healthy Families is a statewide prevention program that works with young first time parents under the age of 21. We are in the process of being credentialed through the nationwide Healthy Families America program. We are a home-based parent education program that focuses on the following four goals: to prevent repeat pregnancies in the teen years, to prevent child abuse and neglect, optimal health for all family members and educational attainment and economic self-sufficiency for families. We service the Greater Taunton Attleboro area including 12 towns. For more information on the Healthy Families program, please visit www.mctf.org.

Interns should have an interest in – and sensitivity toward - the population that this program serves.  Community Care Services requires a Criminal Offender Record Investigation (CORI) which may take 2 weeks for some programs. Other requirements include Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training, as well as tuberculosis screening at some programs. We will arrange for completion of all your requirements.

Community Care Services is a large, nonprofit human services agency with thirty very diverse programs located throughout Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.  The agency has over 450 employees and 250 volunteers, including interns.  Please visit our web site, www.communitycareservices.org to learn more about the agency.
