Residential Services

 

Attleboro Center

The center is a short-term, therapeutic, residential program with a strong clinical and behavior management component for male and female adolescents who are experiencing emotional or psychiatric crisis. The treatment team provides immediate intervention, including matching the level of stabilization resources with the level of client and family need. The Attleboro Center offers clients and their families the least restrictive level of treatment necessary for stabilization. Clients in the program receive a myriad or services which may include: individual and family therapy, medication assessment and management, substance abuse assessment and treatment, on-grounds educational services, therapeutic groups, psychoeducation groups, recreational programming, independent living skills training, clinical case coordination, psychological testing, routine/emergency medical and dental treatment, treatment/placement recommendations, and aftercare planning.

The Attleboro Center also houses the agency’s Tutoring and Assessment Services.  This program provides services for adolescents in two of the agency’s residential programs, Attleboro Center and Journey Home.

Crossroads

Crossroads is a “step-down” behavioral residential treatment facility for adolescent males ages 12-18. The residents are referred by the Department of Children and Families and the Department ofYouth Services, and generally exhibit issues such as physically acting out, substance abuse and truancy.  The program’s goal is to assist the adolescent in his efforts to mature, as well as reintegrate into the family, community and schools. Services include case management, behavioral treatment, psychotherapy, psychopharmacology and aftercare.

Lindencroft

The program serves 14 adolescent females through a comprehensive network of services, including community living, behavioral treatment, therapeutic recreation, and family, group and individual counseling. Services are individually tailored to meet the diverse needs of each resident. The goal of the Lindencroft Program is to create a safe, caring home environment that supports growth and independence. Each resident at Lindencroft develops an Individual Treatment Plan, with input from her family and key professionals, whereby goals are set in areas such as community living, counseling, life skills, health education, vocation, and hobbies. Through this goal-setting process, staff encourages residents to build on their strengths and address their areas of concern.

Intensive Foster Care

The program provides stabilization to foster children who have a variety of clinical, behavioral and familial needs. The children range in age from birth to 18; and their long-term goals include family reunification, independent living, transition to long-term foster care, or adoption. The foster homes are located throughout southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Foster parents are trained to meet the cognitive, behavioral and emotional needs of the foster children through supervision, support groups and trainings. Foster parents also have access to a 24-hour, on-call system for crisis management. This intensive foster care program networks with community-based supports and services that enhance child stability and goal attainment.

The STARR Program

Stabilization, assessment and rapid reunification are the primary components of this 24-hour, 7-day a week residential setting for adolescent male and female youth referred by the Department of Children and Families. A range of clinical, educational, diagnostic and daily living services will be provided for each youth in the program. Residents can remain in placement up to 45 days with the goal of returning to the community with therapeutic supports in place.

Journey Home

Journey Home is a residential program for adolescent boys who present with multiple issues and behaviors. The program provides treatment in the shortest time possible with the goal of reintegrating the youth back into the community.
